Update #3: Wrap Up the Campaign and Next Steps

Dear Backers and Supporters of TAAN THAI,
Finally, we made it! TAAN THAI is fully funded and is now on its way to you. For us, TAAN THAI is a labor of love. It is the project that allows us to follow what we believe is worth delivering and sharing with others. Today is the end of our Kickstarter campaign, but it is only the beginning of a journey for us to do as we promise you. Of course, we are well aware that this journey is only possible because of your support, and we are immensely grateful. Unfortunately, we did not unlock the stretch goal that we set out in the beginning. However, we would like to express our gratitude to you, supporters, by giving out the PAH KHAO MA Utensil bags to all of you! This is our token of appreciation and a share of our cultural heritage.
Now, it’s time to look ahead, and we certainly are looking ahead with the plan to deliver. As stated in the previous update, we distributed samples to our circle of friends, who were very honest and helpful with their feedback. Another iteration of our samples has arrived, and we will finalize the taste by the end of the year.
In the meantime, we are also in the thick of compliance work, which is getting super complicated. To ensure that we are producing not only the best taste but also the best quality, we are carrying out more due diligence with our suppliers in Thailand. We visited all of our suppliers before, but now is the time to dig deeper into their production processes. We have also contacted freight forwarders and warehouses. The good news is that we have identified a nice warehouse, which we have visited in person, to be ready for the final deliveries.
These are the updates from our side so far. As mentioned in the previous update, we would also like to learn more from you—what would you like to see from us, what excites you the most about TAAN THAI products, and what we can improve. We will send out a follow-up survey (via Backerkit) shortly so that we can get your logistical details and hear more from you.

Update #2: A Letter to TAAN THAI Backers (Week 3)

Dear all,
Hello again! Today we have passed an important milestone. Our project, TAAN THAI: Thai Food Cooking Kit, is now successfully funded! This also means that we can finally bring TAAN THAI to life!!! This could never be the case without any one of you, our supporters, who believe in our vision from the get-go.
What have we been up to these days? We are now looking ahead and working to bring the best Thai food products to your doorstep. During the past few weeks, we have not stopped developing our products. We sent out samples to our friends, who kindly gave us really honest feedback. We believe this will help improve our products even further. There are a couple more iterations we want to do to perfect our TAAN THAI products, such as balancing out the texture and aroma, adding in salt or subtracting out sugar, and many more. We hope that it will eventually transform into the products you’ll love.
In parallel, we are also working on compliance to make sure that our products can be imported and sold in the U.S., as well as in Thailand. To accomplish this, we will have to work intensively with lawyers and food labs. Thereafter, production and shipping follow.
We will keep you updated on where we are. In the meantime, we would love to hear your thoughts! At the end of the campaign, we will send you a survey to get 1) your feedback on our campaign and 2) suggestions for any future Thai food products you would like to try.
We are now entering the last stretch of the campaign and hoping to get some more backers in between. If you read so far until the end, we would love for you to help us a little bit more. In case you know one or two friends who love Thai food, can you help us spread the word about the campaign? Again, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making this a reality.

Update #1: First week after launching

Dear TAAN THAI Backers,
Good news! Our project has been promoted to be the "Project We Love" by Kickstarter and also got featured on the first page of Kickstarter's Food & Craft. Of course, we couldn't have done it without all of your support. THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts for supporting and trusting in our project. We cannot say thank you enough. It's been quite a journey from an abstract idea to making it a reality. Each support from you helps us keep going forward and closer to the vision we had in the beginning.
We want to offer Thai food products for you to cook at home that make you feel like visiting Thailand for a moment. Based on this concept, we have traveled around Thailand for months to look for the best recipes, materials, and producers out there. A week has passed since TAAN THAI was launched. We have made such progress, passing the halfway line. However, there is still some distance to go until we reach our ultimate goal. If you can help spread the word to your friends and loved ones, together we can really make this happen!
During the Thanksgiving break (and yes Happy Thanksgiving!!), we have some free time to stop and reflect. We couldn't help but feel thankful for your trust and support.
